Growing up, “five” and “blonde” defined our very existence. In our hometown we’re know as “the family with the five blonde girls.” Although we may not always be blond, we’ll always be five, and we’ll always be sisters. That’s what counts.

It’s been nearly a year since we started blogging, so I thought today would be as good a day as any to update our ‘about us’ page. Some of us are in completely different places than where we were a year ago!

Erica. Numero Uno. Erica is engaged to “D” and will be until they tie the knot in May of 2009. Eri has a degree in Film Theory, lives with D in London and bikes to work every day where she is a social media goddess.  You can find her on Twitter, or email her: fiveblondes [at] gmail [dot] com.  If you want to advertise with us or otherwise connect to our readers, she’s the one to speak to!

Micaela. Dos. Mic is a bank teller by day…and next year she will be entering teachers college! She lives with her sous chef boyfriend Kent just outside of London.

Kate. The middle child! Kate went to the university of Guelph and studied Agriculture, following in her mom’s footsteps. Kate married her sweetie Scott in October of 2007 and together they bought a farm. Kate has a mind-numbing desk job…for now! Kate is also on Twitter.

Leah. Leah has LEFT us fine Ontario ladies and moved to Calgary, Alberta with her boyfriend. That’s ok, we approve! Leah works in the non-profit sector and has a degree in Gerontology.

Lauren. Lauren is a student in Ottawa (although she’s home for the summer right now) where she is studying Criminology. She’s a cheerleader - the kind of cheerleader that flings the tiny people up into the air and gets massive purple bruises when she catches them.  She is working at a conservation area this summer.
