I’m a brownie leader for our town brownies, my friend Laura helps me lead (Mic used to but left me for teachers college). I basically have a love hate relationship with brownies, sometimes they make me laugh and I have lots of fun and there are other times when I want to call their parents and tell them to come pick up their misbehaving child.
HOWEVER tonight was a night when I loved the kids! We had a Christmas party with the guides/pathfinders and it was a lot of fun! They all behaved and had a great time! We made boughs out of greenery, decorated limes with cloves and made boxes out of Christmas cards, and -the best part for the kids- Santa came and brought presents!
One brownie gave me the cutest card, which is basically the point of this post. My owl name is actually Brown Owl, because I am the head owl. Laura is Tawny Owl, the second Owl. One of my brownies calls me Brownie Owl and I actually think this is the cutest thing ever! She brought me cookies, wrote a note for both Tawny Owl and myself and gave me a card.. here’s a scan of the card, it was too cute to not share!

I miss being Brown Owl! That note is the cutest thing ever. Remember the cards that Nicole made us after camp that, when you opened the card up, said the exact same thing and looked the same as the outside of the card? SO FUNNY.

Yesterday it pretty much made me cry because a few parents didn’t read a note properly that brownies was changed to Tuesday and 2 were calling to yell at me. Parents are so mean sometimes!

If the parents didn;t read the note then it is THEIR fault! They are probably jsut mad at themselves and taking it out on you.
But so the question remains … WILL you be having a Valentine party too? Haha.
