As a couple of you may already know (probably just the sisters though…), last week I tried out for the Carleton Cheerleading team with much persuasion from my friend Aley. Well we both tried out and both made it!
^There is a picture of them from last year. We practice three times a week, twice at a cheer gym not so conveniently located for those of us in residence (but more about that in a bit), and the third practice is in our gym here at Carleton. Last night we had our practice at the cheer gym, and the bus there was pretty good, Aley and I met up with three guys on the team before we left and bused with them, but the way home we weren’t that lucky. The guys went home with someone else, and Aley and I were left with three other girls to bus home. Only one of them was going back to campus, so I stuck with her. Our first bus was about 5 minutes late, and our second bus was about 10 minutes late, so when we got off the second bus to get on the OTrain, it was 12:00, and the OTrain shut down at 11:45. Talk about perfect timing…not. So we called a cab since no other buses were running to Carleton, and we waited…and waited…and waited. Finally after 3 calls to the cab company, 45 minutes later, and a whopping hour and 45 minutes after practice ended, the cab arrived. It felt so good to be in that warm car after standing in a freezing cold transit way station in Greenboro. Our next practices are on Thursday(on campus), and Friday(Cheer Gym), but hopefully it will go better this time!I’ll post more pictures from the Basketball game, which is on January 26th(ish…I think), See ya later!Lauren
Bring it On!
