The crazy quilt is gorgeous! Double wedding ring is one of my favorites. My mother has quilted for years and has made several quilts for all of us, including one at our high school graduation. I recently took a quilting class and learned to make potholders! I’ll be home next weekend and I am bringing my mothers old sewing machine back with me, so I can make more

my mom, aunts, and grandmother are/were all big quilters too. we’re getting married october 17, and while no one has hinted that we’ll be getting a homemade quilt, i’ve got my fingers crossed that one will come from somewhere. it’s really one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give or receive. i wish i could sew
