I have changed so much over the past year, physically and mentally.
I went from this (7 weeks pregnant)
to this (37 weeks pregnant)
and now I’m back to this after 6 months (27 weeks without baby)
Nothing fits right at all, somehow I managed to lose all my baby weight, and some. So finally after months of complaining about having nothing to wear, my birthday arrived (July 31, thanks for posting Happy Birthday, sisters… NOT) mom took me clothes shopping! I’m still exhausted just thinking about it. It took 4 people, a baby and a few sales people to find clothes that would suit my new body. I’m happy to report that I found lots that I like and am excited to wear.
I ended up with skinny jeans (! yikes, my first pair), a romper (who the heck do I think I am? Can I even pull off a romper??), a dress, skirt, capris and 6 shirts. Here’s a sampling of my new wardrobe. It seems my colours are gray and maroon/pinkish along with jean.
New wardrobe shopping is so fun but expensive. My go to stores have not changed- Smart Set, Rw&Co, American Eagle and this time I happened to find something that I liked and at a reasonable price at Mexx.
What are your go to stores?

a. you look fantastic
b. boo sisters. you owe Kate a FAB post about her birthday!
c. i hope I have your genes for when its my turn
d. ROMPERS = amazing
and finally e. My go to stores are American Eagle, Forever 21, garage, and aritzia, and a bit of lulu serves a purpose as well
Thanks Lara. I always skip Garage because I feel like I’m too old for it, but it is a good place for trends. Lauren got a romper there a bit ago. Also I think I would like Forever 21 (and H&M) but I only usually go to Masonville and they don’t have those stores.
You look so great!!
I love your new clothes, I hope you continue to like them.

Oooooo a romper!! I haven’t tried one of those on yet. I’m only now getting into leggings and straight legged jeans, haha.
My go-to places are Mexx, Banana Republic (both, only when they have sales), I like American Eagle but I feel so old when I’m in there now so I rarely go in.
Shame shame on the sisters! They should dedicate a week of the blog to Kate!
My go-tos are:
H&M, RW, Jacob, Suzy Shier (for fantastically cheap basics) and places like Winners in Canada and Marshalls in the states. Let me know if you ever want a cross border shopping trip to find some cheapy stuff in the states!
you got the romper so diaper changes would be easier right?? I really hope yours doesn’t have a snap crotch! Happy Birthday! Looking forward to our movie date next week (or whenever we manage to get there)!
I am SO with you on the post baby body changes. I too lost more than I gained in total, and ended up with a pair of skinny jeans. They are so great, except for the fading on the knees from crawling on the floor playing with the little one.
My go to stores include Jacob, Laura, Walmart and Mark’s Work Wearhouse, depending on what I’m looking for. Have you been to the outlet stores in Cambridge? Great deals!
You look AMAZING, Katelyn! Apparently more of us should go on the chasing-baby-in-a-wheat-field diet! And happy belated birthday…you were always the only one who got to go before me in the Harry Potter board game, cuz you had his birthday and I was one day off!
And now I look cool…..:P
You look fantastic and what better excuse to shop for a new wardrobe! I tried on a romper at Dynamite earlier this summer…I put it back, mostly because I think it would be a hassle to get out of at bathroom moments!
I mostly find clothes at H&M, RW&Co, Jacob, Smart Set, Le Chateau for officey stuff, Garage for basics like tanks and tees, Old Navy on occasion has some nice surprises as well.

You look fantastic!
I’ve had a lot of luck with Jacob after having 2 babies. They seem to have the best tailored clothes and hug the right places and avoid the wrong ones.
Happy late birthday!
