Project Time

Last weekend was our town’s annual garage sales. Any house in the town that wants to participate sets up tables outside their house and people walk around the town finding new treasures out of people’s unwanted junk.

Micaela found her wedding veil at the garage sales last year, on her way to the church.

We wandered around this year looking for baby item- toys or clothes. I bought a cute ladybug counting thing that Hailey seems to enjoy, even though she doesn’t really understand it. I also saw the cutest chair when we first started walking around and after seeing most of the houses that were selling stuff, still had the chair on my mind. We went to check it out and I bought it. For $2. What a steal.

I bought it with the intention to recover it, since it didn’t really look the cleanest and I was not crazy about the fabric. Here’s what it looked like when I bought it and what it looks like now, halfway done.

It’s a Hailey sized chair, in case you couldn’t tell. I want to put it in her room to make a little reading corner for her eventually. Now I need to find some fabric to use. I’m thinking green.
