Oh, my! I hope he is healing up quickly. I sure do have a soft spot in my heart for farming folk, having grown up in rural parts of the US Midwest. One of our homes was next to a farm with pigs, and surrounded by corn and soybean fields on the other sides. You might get a smile out of this cartoon. Thank you for makin’ our bacon!

Ugh. Okay, I am feeling the stress for you and for Scott and for all of the people who read this and felt it for themselves.

How fortunate he was to only break a knuckle and still have his hand, albeit ripped up and throbbing with pain. As you stated, so many people lose limbs; wow he was very lucky. And I was also impressed with the photos of the auger and the coils up close.

Way to punctuate the story via photography!
