Merging of the rooms

It’s happening, it’s actually happening!

Tomorrow the wall dividing the formal living room and our family room will be removed and we will have one huge ~425 sqft room. I am so excited, and nervous. Nervous because now I need to pick a paint colour, fabric, carpet and a million other details that will be going in the room. And let me tell you, me and decisions do not go well. I get really nervous and always second guess myself. Also I feel like I can’t really say that if I don’t like the paint colour we will just repaint, because there are big walls in this room.

At this point I’m thinking grey and possibly an accent wall (of paint or wallpaper) to spice things up a bit. Buuut I’m probably going to need your advice here and there. Right now the trim in one room is sage green and is natural wood in the other room. I’m going to switch to white trim (aka make more work for Scott because he wants to take all the natural wood out because you can’t paint wood that is beautiful!) I’m really excited to paint the built ins white that flank the fireplace.

Photos: Scratchy red X means the wall is going to be removed. obv.

I think the middle photo shows it best because you can see both rooms. it will be much easier to take photos of when the wall is out. The wall with the big quilt on it is the wall I’m thinking od being our accent wall. I think it’s the wall that would make more sense, but we’ll see if I change my mind once the wall it out.

So that’s it for now, just a little room update. Oh and a photo of Hailey at her birthday party. She was so good and was so adorable all day!
