I did something I never thought I could do last weekend. I walked in a 30km race around the bay in Hamilton/Burlington.
I signed up for the race in the summer, I must have been crazy, I knew I was pregnant I guess I just didn’t think that giving birth only 2 months before would be a big deal. Surprisingly I was right because I survived the race! (I even came in 2/6 in my age group, not that I was racing anyone other than myself)
By the end of the walk my feet and legs were on autopilot, I didn’t even have to think about it anymore, they just went. The walk took me 4 hours and 50 min to complete. To say my feet/legs were sore after the race was an understatement, I had to take the smallest steps possible to man and had pain with each step.
Here are some photos I took off the website.

Finishing the race!- The runners started 1 hour behind us, so I altered the clock to show my ending time. That was a LONG walk.
