This is what forty days (to the wedding) looks like:
- Morning coffee shop dates (we are morning date people, by necessity not by choice) full of checklists and scheduling rather than smoldering eyes and sweet nothings. ohhh the good old days!
- Marriage preparation homework talk! “My issue is _____. My feelings on it are a ___/10. I need ______.” “Two things that I love, appreciate, and admire about you are ______.”
- Our schedule this Thursday/Friday: Thursday morning we are going to pick out wedding rings, then we both have to work until about 11:30pm, then we are driving two hours to my hometown, have a marriage preparation course at 9am, then driving back to Toronto at 11am for Kent to work at 2 and me to work at 6.
- Countless e-mails to and from my mom about important things like the cost structure of tissue paper: “Let me pick up the tissue. i have done extensive research on the cost structure, and the Dollarama in east london has 20 sheets for a dollar, which translates to 50 cents a flower.”
For these, which Team Lauren, Micaela and Mom are pros at. Martha Stewart=My Hero. They are easier than you might think, but no less satisfying:

- Not strangling the guy at the tux store for having no idea where the tie that I wanted to look at was (and not caring either!), after I got a call saying it was in.
- A honeymoon that is STILL NOT DECIDED ON! and we are giving ourselves until Saturday to finally decided.
Sound like fun???? haha. It’s not bad. Mostly because I know it’s only 40 more days of this! It’s actually quite funny for me when Kent comes home from work at night and I’m sleeping, and wakes me up to ask me what wedding stuff he needs to do in the morning. As long as he’s riding this crazy train with me, I’ll be okay.

It actually all sounds kind of wonderful (especially the morning wedding planning in the coffee shop). I’m home for a week before the wedding, put my lazy ass to work then!

What are the honeymoon options so far?
Don’t worry. Everything will come together, just like Erica’s did. It will be perfect!
Those flowers are gorgeous. I’m so glad that I’m not getting married any time in the near future (if at all) because if I get married I so want to use those flowers at my wedding and it won’t seem copied by then!!
Big hugs Mic!! If you need any extra help (I know you have lots) let me know!! I need things that won’t cost me that much money to keep my occupied these days!!
