Yesterday Lauren asked commenters to share if there were any books/websites similar to PostSecret. Strangely, no books were mentioned in the comments – discussion of PostSecret took over and a road trip to Michigan was arranged instead to a PostSecret event.
Odd? Perhaps…but honestly, my life is so up and down lately that I wouldn’t be surprised if I turned around and found Leah and Lauren standing behind me. Or if a jackalope walked by my window. I feel like anything could happen…and mostly, I feel restless. There is so much that I need and want to do yet so little time to accomplish it all!
True to my restless nature I took up a new hobby a few weeks ago – knitting. This was just after I had decided to study millinery. And then how to make gorgeous mosaics. And to de-stash mom’s treasure trove of vintage buttons and various ephemera she picked up at an estate sale. Not to mention the beads I have been looking at to add some sparkle to my wedding. I’ve also been subscribing to some great stamping and scrapbooking blogs. My mind works in mysterious ways.
Luckily, I’ve not yet tired of knitting. But I do have a lot of wedding planning to do. Speaking of my wedding…

Voila! My bouquet. Sort of. I think this pic is actually from an issue of Martha Stewart Weddings (the only wedding magazine I will waste my money on anymore, and the only one worth the money IMO) but essentially, that’s it. Japanese anemones. *swoon*
I think your mind just works in craaazy ways. I love the flowers by the way! Soo interesting looking.
i love those flowers…they’re not as expected as roses and that ribbon is adorable!
I agree – they’re gorgeous flowers. When did you first see them? I have never seen them before!

those flowers are beautiful.. great choice!
Thanks for all the compliments on the flowers! I don’t remember where I first saw them, either Martha Stewart or Grace Ormond. I initially wrote them off assuming it wouldn’t be possible to get them, but I brought it up with my florist and she said absolutely!
Lara, the flowers are one of the few things I AM sure of. Decor is giving me troubles…
those flowers are incredible!
strangely enough at the wedding we were at this weekend the groom was saying in his speech that many people asked if he was nervous or anxious about the wedding and he said neither of those things defined him properly. Then he went on to give us the definition of being restless and said that’s exactly what he was. Must be a marriage thing!
I just found your blog today and it mentioned knitting! YAY! I love to knit. It’s a wonderful hobby and I hope you’ll end up hopelessly addicted like the rest of the knitting world
The flowers are gorgeous by the way!
