What I believe today.

I’m feeling MUCH better now. Looking back on last week I see now that every day was filled with small letdowns that just added up and weighed me down. I like how we measure things in days; weeks; months, so that you always feel like you have the opportunity for a fresh start.

Today I believe:

  • That if you can count on a few fingers the people you could call anytime, with no plan or conversation in mind, then that’s enough.
  • That the world would be a better place if every girl had four sisters.
  • That sometimes you have to know when to give up on something that hasn’t been working the way you need it to for a long time.
  • That thing that feels like a problem… well maybe it isn’t. Maybe it’s just life. And maybe letting it make you crazy will only result in you being crazy. Let it be.
  • That you should spend approximately 50% of your time with your significant other being ridiculously silly. Because really who else do you get to do that with?
  • That Lauren has the cutest face in the world and if you start looking at it you won’t be able to stop. I fully admit to my “staring at Lauren” problem.

I love this post! Oprah (yes Oprah) does a similar thing in her magazine called “What I know for sure” and it’s a great list for anyone to make when they’re feeling sad, lonely, confused or frustrated. Glad you’re feeling better missy! xoxo

PS – I also agreed with #2 …. that’s why I feel so lucky to have FIVE :)

#3 took me a long time to realise. I’m glad I’ve realised them now and I have to employ #4 to make sure that I can live the rest of my life without going crazy. Also, #1 is great advice and thank you. And I think I would’ve been blessed if I even had one sister but I’ll have to take your word for it (#2) ;) though I can’t say I would trade my brother in for anything in the whole world either. And #5 is just insanely cute. And while I do agree with you on #6, I do not have a ‘staring at Lauren’ problem but maybe that’s because I haven’t met her yet! :P

Every single one of these is SO cute and SO true…especially #6 if I do say so myself, haha :)

    Great Post!!

I wish I had sisters, or at least just one.. I am the only girl of 3.

I agree with #5, but i also think it could work with your mum.. well at least with my mum and my relationship it can! haha.

I, too, have a Lauren problem.
And I believe that whatever you are, be the best you can. No one is obligated to change the world, just be the best you can of whatever you are.

  10. I have 3 sisters. (Well, also one stepsister, so I guess that makes 4…) And I can honestly say that I just don’t know how people get through life not having sisters. I know I couldn’t!
