I believe in love.

Today, I was driving to meet a friend for lunch when I heard  a woman call into the country radio station I was listening to.

“I’d like to make a song dedication.”
“Sure, what would you like to hear?”

“Sissy’s Song, by Alan Jackson.”

“And who is this song dedication going out to?”

(Caller’s voice breaking) My Mom passed away on Friday (full out sobs) and I’d like to dedicate it to my Dad”

I couldn’t take it anymore, and I was crying right along with her. I like to think that all of the listeners of that station, at that moment, were crying right along with that woman. My heart truly went out to her.

I have been incredibly emotional lately, as every relationship has it’s ups and downs, mine has been going through a trying time. Moving in with, and across the country with, someone proves to be fun, challenging, and exciting. I believe the tough times were put in place so that a couple can come out the other side stronger than ever before. I believe in love, fate, destiny, the powers of emotions and grief, and I believe in my relationship.

I probably shouldn’t be watching/listening to this in a busy area at school. Learned that the hard way.

I’m quick to tears too, especially lately. I think it also has to do with relationship-related changes… even though we’re moving forward, I was just so happy with the way things were, that changes are hard.

As one half of a couple who has been in exactly the same place as you and Tim, I believe in your relationship too.
And I think that believing in it is the most important part.

I Love that song Leah, the last time i heard it was almost a year ago at my grandmother’s funeral. ( it fit perfectly with her as she was only 64 when she died.)

I know how hard it is to move away from your family and friends to be with the one you love. what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger. Everything happens for a reason, even the fights.. well that’s what i believe anyway.

    Hey LeahBee

I believe in your relationship too! What a sad dedication. I can remember driving home from Meagans house the first time i saw her after her mom passed away. The Good Stuff by Kenny Chesney came on and I had to pull over I was crying so hard. Songs are so good for evoking emotions that need to come out!
