H1N1

in pigs

If you’ve been following some of the Fiveblondes on twitter, you will know how sick of the H1N1 virus we are.  If you aren’t familiar with the name H1N1, perhaps you will know the swine flu.  A horrible choice of name for this virus, which you CANNOT receive from eating pork products.  This unfortunate naming choice has been affecting pork farmers everywhere (including us!)

So do us a favour and get some pork on your fork!

I’m in the south this week, enjoying some good soul food, and pork flavors practically everything. I love it. Don’t worry. I’ll be eating lots of pig this week, okay?

Fellinis used to serve this pork roulette when they did tapas that I loved. A year and a half later I still bring it up to Kent a few times a month in a HEY HOW BOUT YOU MAKE IT FOR ME EVER kind of way. He still hasn’t caught on so I’m going to have to start being pushier.

Matt gave his family a stern lecture about eating pork. They were all worried about the WHO advisory on pork, but I think his serious voice worked. We enjoyed some baco for breakfast!

Also, I LOVE pork tenderloin. That’s all.

You should give away some pork on your blog.

It’s sad that people don’t read & understand the whole story before jumping to the wrong conclusions most of the time. On the other hand, we just had a nice juicy pork tenderloin for mother’s day & I bought a 10lb family pack of pork chops to cook all different ways! Go Piggies!!!!!

I have a relative who got the Swine Flu in Mexico. It is a good thing that he already recovered from this disease.
