How I’m feeling: Still getting the right side rib pains, I just try and stretch my right arm above my head lots and tend to hold my right ribs, which my co-worker tells me makes me look really pregnant. I have also been experiencing horrible leg and foot cramps when I sleep. I got on Friday night in my right calf and I could hardly walk on Saturday morning.
This week the baby is just kicking up a storm, morning, noon and night. It must be very flexible, or just really likes kicking and punching because I feel kicks on both sides of my stomach at the same time.
Highlight of the week: Seeing Mic’s face as she felt the baby kick for the first time.
Saturday I had a fun day of shopping with mom and Lauren. We bought the fabric for curtains and a bed skirt. I also bought 2 shirts from Winners, not maternity shirts but shirts that will work as maternity shirts for the next while, at least until I get huge. I’m wearing one in the photo you see above!
This week we finished our prenatal classes. Overall I would say that the classes were helpful to go to, they gave us an overview of what to expect from conception (still not sure why we learn this, considering we were all already pregnant) through labor to baby’s first year. However I am very happy to have my Thursday’s back in my life! Scott and I need to get rolling on the nursery, next on my list is to decide on a paint colour and get it painted.
I made my 2nd trimester belly collage, it’s neat how you can see it progress!
October 27th marks our 2nd wedding anniversay! It’s amazing that 2 years has passed by just like that! I asked Scott what his favourite part of the last 2 years was and he said the being pregnant part. Guess the first year and a half sucked for him, haha. We celebrated by going out for dinner on the 26th because Scott will be combining corn until pretty late on our actual anniversary. That’s what we get for having a fall wedding!

That was such a wonderful wonderful day!! Happy celebrating you too!
Happy anniversary! You look gorgeous. What I want to know is: a) can you STILL fit into your pre-pregnancy jeans? I’m shocked they lasted as long as they did… and b) have you lost your innie belly button yet?!
I like that shirt! At this point I really don’t like shirts that just hang at the bottom, I like a bit of a band, so good find! Good luck picking the paint colour, I’m excited to see it all done!
So cute, Kate! I’m sorry you are having aches and pains, though. You just can’t catch a break! But seriously, your collage is adorable and I cannot believe you are so far along. Happy Anni!

It was so funny because I was just touching her belly and I asked if it kicks a lot, and then Kate moved my hand to where it was kicking!
But I like to think it was actually dancing, since we were on the dance floor and all.

Oh it is so exciting having a baby…. I remember the excitement as if it was yesterday and now my son had his 20th birthday today!! Sorry to hear about the leg cramps but I believe you can get natural relaxants which should be ok to take whilst pregnant and two popular remedies are eat a banana at bedtime and put a bar of soap in the bed with you!!
