Feelin' the Love

Kick Ass Blogger AwardCanucklehead

The Blonde life has been a busy one! There was so much excitement going on last week I could barely catch my breath! Luckily life has slowed down to it’s normal pace and I’m moving forward with my own wedding plans. Xman can always be counted on to encourage me along!

Speaking of the Xman, yesterday he threatened never to read this blog again unless we updated soon. Are you happy now, sweetie? Or should I leave this one as a draft so that I can start plastering your face all over? No, I’m too nice for that. Anyway, your cute face will be on our photographers blog next month whether you like it or not. I booked out engagement picture appointment today!

You may be wondering, what’s with the pics at the top? Did you actually get…awards??? Yes, yes we did! According to Reggy, I (we) am a kick-ass blogger, Delusions of Grandeur loves our blog, and we are also honorary Canuckleheads. To be honest, we’ve been honorary Canuckleheads for a few months but I never got my lazy bum around to saying THANK YOU!

I won something else this week as well – a $50 gift card for Wedding Paper Divas! Funny story (in more ways than one) – I won the card after posting a funny wedding story on a terrific wedding blog that I read called Glamour This. Earlier today I was reading some posts from my favorite WeddingBee blogger, Mrs Flamingo. What I have just now realized is: They are the same. Kelly of Glamour This is also Mrs. Flamingo! I just think that this is fantastic and hilarious at the same time. Now the french elements on Glamour This make sense! I loved all the glam decor she used in her wedding as it is the same type of decor I’m using for mine.

Finally, I feel like I won a prize here at work today when my boss told me that myself and my office-mate will be moving into a new office soon – an office with a window!!! We’re a very small company (only 4 of us work from the office day to day while my boss and his wife, my long-time friend S, work from home) and we currently have only 2 offices but someone in our building is moving out. And he had a window office. It’s ridiculous how happy this makes me!

I do agree with your statements, I just really feel for the daughter, having to undergo the last months of her pregnancy under public scrutiny for her mother’s ideals and beliefs :)

Love your site, I’ll definitely be back!

An office with a window?! Congrats!! I never got an office as a teacher, but my friends in the more corporate world always seem really pumped when they are officially given windows, so I know (second hand but still it counts!) how exciting this is.

Also? Congrats on your awards and prizes!

Wait, when did he become Xman? I thought he was Mr. X? I’m confused now. Anyway, I’m glad Xman reads this blog enough to complain about it not being updated. I’ll be lucky if he reads my blog – and when he does comment on anything I’ve written it’s to ask about something he thinks I might’ve lied to him about! What is that?!! LOL I’m sure he doesn’t mean it that way…. but arg!

@Libby – I completely feel for her as well. I can’t even begin to imagine how she must be feeling right now.
(FYI, Libby was responding to a comment I left on her site. That’s why this discussion makes no sense.)

    Brandy – Thanks!

fragileheart – I dunno, Mr X, Xman…my sisters still sneak ‘Ddawg’ in there sometimes too. Anyway, boys can be so strange!

    Kate – not yet!

Yea!! I can’t wait to see the work done by the Last 40%! And how are you getting your hair done? Cut and highlighted? I think you should cut it to your shoulder blades (so keept it long) and get blonde highlights (no lowlights) I just think it will brighten your face and bring the attention more to your eyes and smile. And lighten uo your hair! So do it!

And welcome to the Office with a window club! It is a lovely and powerful thing to hoard over others (especially when your boyfriends office is in a basement, and your close friends office is in a fishbowl with male teens on probation often trying to break in and rip apart sinks because you won’t let them have sex with each other)

  8. Canucklehead says:

I’m glad you liked the award. I thought perhaps it may have lost some of its appeal seeing as you all are in fact ACTUAL Canuckleheads. Anyways, its no $50.00 but you certainly deserve it – CHEERS!

  9. Hiya, i have seen your site when searching a few weeks ago and i really love the design! I just bought a new 3 character domain (cost me a packet) for a niche review blog, and i was wondering if your design is a free or paid one? I’m new to WordPress and about to set it up, and i would really like to get something with a similar look to yours. Any ideas where i could download or buy something similar? Thanks for your help! :)

  10. good post,i can feel the love.

  12. Good luck to you and your fiancee as you plan all the details of the wedding such as wedding programs and bridesmaid dresses. Congratulations on the window as well! From a person who spent a couple years working in a windowless basement, the glory of a single window is well understood.
