Guess what blog friends! The time has come for a very exciting announcement, because on May 17th Scott and I found our some very exciting news. I’m PREGNANT!!
I’m due January 18th, 2010, so as of right now I’m 10 weeks +2 day.
Since I found out I’m expecting food hasn’t really been my best friend. Nothing is appetizing, which is the worst thing right now because I’m CONSTANTLY STARVING. If I go 10 minutes without food I feel like I will die because I am so hungry. The other bad part of that is that when I’m starving is when my body decides that it feels horrible, so lets make the pregnant girl go and hug the toilet for a while! I’ve only really been throwing up since the 9th week (so it’s been a bit over a week of that), but it really sucks and I can’t wait until the morning sickness is gone.
Just wanted to get those negative points out of the way because the rest is great! It’s so amazing and crazy knowing there is a human being growing inside of me. I’m not showing yet but I’m excited for when I start showing because it will all feel more real.
My whole family is so excited for Scott and me. The four other blondes have lovingly started calling the baby ‘raspbaby’ since one week the baby was the size of a raspberry and the girls thought that was adorable. This week the baby is the size of a prune, which really isn’t as cute as a raspberry. 
Sooo I’m not really sure what else to write about, but feel free to ask questions and I can answer them in a separate post!

You are sooooo lucky you dont have to be really preggers through the summer! trust me it sucks even more than hugging the toilet! haha
enjoy every minute of it, ( even towards the end when all you’ll be saying is ” get this baby outta me!! ” ) because even though you dont think so now, you’re going to miss it..
once you start showing and you need preggers clothes and dont want to spend a fortune either 1. tell me and i’ll send you all mine * im not scary, ask Leah.. haha * OR 2. check out Walmart, i know silly place for maternity clothes, but they have some really cute stuff..

I haven’t been very forthcoming about this but I recently went through the first 10 weeks of a pregnancy (wasn’t comfortable posting it on my main blog though since my family reads), and fruit smoothies and carrots were my best friends in the food department. They were the only two healthy things that consistently sounded good to me. I hated the feeling of being starving but nothing sounding appealing, I totally feel your pain there.
Sending you positive, happy vibes for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy… I really hope the morning sickness goes away fast.

Speaking from personal experience, morning sickness is no fun. I highly recommend investing in a set of sea bands. They are bracelets that push on a pressure point in the wrist to relieve nausea. They made mine bearable most of the time. I also lived on lifesavers for a while, to keep it under control.
I second the thought to check walmart and zellers for maternity clothes. I really liked pants from Motherhood maternity.
