Wall Decorations

Scott and I really badly need decorations for our walls. Since taking down the large Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations in our house the house (mostly livingroom) looks sad and undecorated. This is very unusual for me since through out university I always had the walls covered with pictures, art and things I clipped out of magazines. When I was in Ikea about 6 months ago I found a few things I liked, but didn’t buy them because I didn’t have a house then and didn’t know what colours the house would be. So now that we are settled I think it’s time to get some artwork on our walls! I don’t want anything too expensive but I think I want large prints so I need less… not really sure about that though. Here are a few that I’ve seen that I like:

So from IKEA all the pictures I like are fairly alike, soft looking and real-life (except for that one). Scott said that he only likes real images, so more like pictures rather then paintings. And I’m assuming he would like all of these. And since these are all picture-like maybe I should just get pictures blown up and put them all over the house.. that would be a fun project for me to do.

Does anyone have any suggestions for some nice artwork that I might like? I looked at etsy.com but I don’t really have the patience for those websites.

I HAVE the brownish one with the rows of trees from IKEA! Have you looked through allposters.com? Art/crafts stores sometimes have a wide variety of prints too!

Thanks for the comments! I think I did look at allposters.com after I posted and I liked a few there. I think I’m going to look around home for pictures more before I order them off the net.

Love the first and last ones posted here! Especially the last one - I have a thing for photos showing a pathway lined with trees. It’s an image I’ve always been drawn to for no obvious reason! Love it.
