I would now like to introduce my blog to my fabulous bridal party!
In alphabetical order:
Lauren - The baby of the Five Blondes. Lauren is a ball of fun and well Kent is in love with her (so am I). She lives far from home so we are looking forward to spending tons of time with her before August 15th! This is her and I partying together a couple months ago (she’s the upside-down one)
Leah – The second youngest of the Five Blondes. Leah and I have been inseparable in spirit forever, but as you probably know, she has been living across the country for far too long. Leah and I planned for a long time to have a double wedding, and although she ruined that plan, I still need to have her by my side. This is Leah and I a few years ago, having a late night snack at a truck stop at 2am:
Michelle M – We became friends in grade 1 and have been best friends ever since. Michelle is the kind of friend you can count on for absolutely anything and is always up for a good time. Here we are partying like rockstars earlier this year:
Michelle P – We have known each other since I was too young to remember and reunited in 4-H and on the ski hill when I stole her away from my sister Katelyn. However, Katelyn married into her family so she got the last laugh. We spent every available minute together in our teen years and had more together fun than, well, pretty much anyone else has, ever. We are still great friends even though our lives have taken us down different paths and we no longer live 5 minutes apart.
Here we are at Katelyn and Scott’s wedding last year.
I also have two singers lined up (the other two five blondes, Katelyn and Erica). Left to right is Lauren, Katelyn, me, and Erica on me and Michelle P’s birthday last month.
Annd how can I forget my lovely pianist, Michelle V (I really like Michelles).I once made the mistake of calling her my church friend so I should add that she is sooo much more than just a church friend. Picture to come, because facebook is acting up at the moment.
That’s it for the girl side of the wedding! It doesn’t even begin to cover all of the wonderful girls in my life but I’ll have to find other ways to include the others, especially Kent’s sisters.
And I leave you with a toy that I am in love with! Weddings, Playmobil style! My sisters and I were obsessed with Playmobil as kids.

if you’re looking for a way to include your hubby’s sisters, they could pass out the programs or bubbles or something like that, so they’re included but you don’t have a HUGE wedding party..
You should get his sisters to do readings, unless you have other ppl in mind for that

But I am so happy for you and your wedding will be a blast and half for sure! Best party since … well, since Kate’s wedding! Lisa and Jez and Tim and I were reminiscing on Sunday about how amazing Kate’s party was. She has set the standard high for the rest of us mofo’s!

love the playmobil wedding people! I saw a cake topper in guelph that was a bride that had hooked the groom like a fish and it made me think of you guys!
I saw that one too at a wedding show, Laura, and I showed it to Kent and he said he liked it because it looks like the groom is trying to escape. So that comment made me decide to definitely not get it!

Didya know that they stopped making the bride and groom Playmobile in 2005!!! I stopped in at the Toy Shoppe of London this morning and that’s what he told me. He also said that lots and lots of Brides to be came in looking for it! And that if I found it, could I lend it to him when his 16 year old daughter is ready to be married!
