October 27, 2007- Scott and I got married! Here are the pictures I said I would post… and never did. I will try to break it up in a few posts. The first post is of the girls getting ready!
All photo credits go to my wonderful photographer: Brenda Coghlin (she updated her pictures on her website and some of Scott and my wedding pictures are on there, I feel like a superstar)

^The Dress- made by my mom~ She wrote about it on her blog. It was a long process, but well worth it. We shopped for and bought the lace from a fabric store in Toronto.

^A close up of the hand sewing my mom did on the ruching on the top, those layers are all hand sewn people! And the embellishments that my Oma (and some of her friends) sewed onto the dress. Thousands of clear sequins and lots of crystals.

^How many girls does it take to get Kate in her dress??

^Is it done yet?

^Looking relaxed… not feeling so relaxed!

^I loved our flowers!

^Notice my hot blotch? I always get blotches when I’m nervous or excited, darn those blotches.

^The girls- J (friend from university), S (friend since forever, helped Scott pick out my engagement ring), me, Leah (sister), A (Scott’s sister) and the flower girl is my cousin.

^Oh look! It’s the five blondes! Erica, me, Leah, Micaela, and Lauren.

^Momma and Poppa (ps mom made her dress as well)

Next up- the boys!

What a beautiful dress! The really cool thing is that your mother made it! Take care!
That’s a truly stunning dress your mum has made!
How did you choose which sister to be a maid over the other 3?
I think it was that I wanted a sister who would be around to help plan things, Mic was away in B.C. and Lauren was supposed to be going away for her job (however they both ended up coming home and made me look like a horrible sister) and I don’t remember my reason for Erica (sorry sista, you know I love you!). Everything worked out well because Mic and Lauren did a reading at the church and Erica was our MC.
Congrats on your recent wedding. I don’t know why I just realized the site is Canadian. You were already one of my faves-but now? Forget about it …
Anyway, cheers and all the best.
Kate, I FINALLY figured out how to subscribe to your read on my Google Reader. Call me an idiot, I know. But now I can stay up-to-date much better.
Anywho, I love your dress! My mom made her dress and considered sewing my BM dresses, but didn’t want to deal with the stress. Your gown is absolutely fabulous and you looked stunning. Now I’m going to wander around the blog a bit more….:)
